Hi Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding the delivery experience of my recent order for the OnePlus Nord 6.
As per the order details, the delivery was scheduled for today (25-05-2026). However, while I was away from home, an Amazon delivery partner visited my residence and spoke with my mother. Without providing any proper explanation, he simply mentioned something about a “wrong package” and left the location immediately.
When I returned home, my mother informed me about the incident. Since she is elderly, she became extremely anxious and confused about what had happened. She kept asking me whether there was any issue from our side or if we had made any mistake. I felt very bad seeing her worried like this.
Later, I tried calling the Amazon delivery contact number from which I had received the call multiple times, but the calls were repeatedly disconnected. Finally, around 9:46 PM IST, the person answered the call and informed me in a very casual and rude manner that the “batch number was wrong,” the order had been cancelled, and the refund would be processed so that I could place a new order again.
I would like to ask:
Is this the proper way to communicate with customers?
Why was there no prior notification or proper explanation provided?
Why was the delivery partner so unprofessional and dismissive?
I have already waited nearly 8 days for this product, and currently I do not even have a personal mobile phone. I am using my mother’s phone for all communication and important personal transactions. I was specifically expecting the device to be delivered today due to my urgent requirement.
What disappointed me the most was not just the cancellation, but the way the entire situation was handled. Customers, especially elderly people at home, deserve respectful communication and clear information before leaving the premises.
I kindly request the concerned team to:
Review this incident seriously.
Clarify why the order was cancelled at the doorstep.
Help me with a faster resolution or replacement delivery.
Ensure such behavior is not repeated with other customers.
Please look into this matter and provide an update at the earliest.
