Users who access Zelle through a bank's app are directed to their bank's privacy notice instead.

Frequently asked questions about Zelle
As of April 1, 2025, the standalone Zelle app no longer supports sending or receiving money. To continue using Zelle, enroll through your bank or credit union's mobile app or online banking portal. More than 2,200 financial institutions offer Zelle; visit zellepay.com/get-started to find yours. If your bank is not listed, you will need to use an alternative payment method.
Zelle payments generally cannot be reversed once sent to an enrolled recipient. Contact your bank or credit union immediately to report the fraud; your bank has the authority to investigate and, in some cases, issue a refund. You can also call Zelle customer service at (844) 428-8542 to report the incident. Each case is reviewed individually, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. For further guidance, visit the Zelle Safety Education Center.
Your mobile number or email address may be registered with a different bank. Within your new bank's app, you can typically re-enroll the same number or email, which will transfer it to your new institution. If you're unable to resolve the issue, call Zelle Support at (844) 428-8542 for assistance.
Zelle itself does not set universal send limits. Each participating bank or credit union establishes its own daily and per-transaction limits. To find out your current limits, contact your bank directly or check the Zelle section within your banking app.
If your bank or credit union is not among the more than 2,200 institutions currently offering Zelle, you cannot send or receive money through the service at this time. The list of participating institutions continues to grow; check zellepay.com/get-started for updates.
Log in to your bank's app, open the Zelle section, enter the recipient's email address or U.S. mobile number, enter the amount, and confirm.
A payment can be cancelled only if the recipient has not yet enrolled with Zelle. In your bank's app, go to your Zelle activity, select the payment, and choose "Cancel This Payment."
Open your bank's app, navigate to Zelle, and tap the QR code icon on the "Select Recipient" screen.
