WestJet Airlines customer service policies

Privacy statement

WestJet’s privacy statement describes the personal information the airline collects (booking and contact details, payment data, travel-document numbers, loyalty activity), how it uses that information (booking fulfillment, marketing, safety, legal compliance), how it shares data (with affiliates such as Sunwing Vacations Inc., service providers, and government agencies), and what choices guests have (access, correction, withdrawal of consent). It contains specific provisions for guests in the United Kingdom and European Economic Area and identifies a Privacy Officer for inquiries.

Refunds and Travel Bank

WestJet does not publish a single refund-policy page. Cancellations made within 24 hours of booking are generally refundable. Later cancellations on non-refundable fares typically return value to a Travel Bank credit (linked to a guest’s WestJet Rewards ID, valid for 12 months, extendable once for a fee). Refunds to original payment apply where the Air Passenger Protection Regulations require them (for example, when WestJet cancels a flight for reasons within its control). Seat fees are not refundable within 24 hours of departure or on UltraBasic fares.

Website terms of use

WestJet’s terms of use govern use of westjet.com. They grant a limited license to use the site, set out booking and ticketing rules, prohibit scraping and unauthorized use of WestJet trademarks, limit WestJet’s liability, and incorporate the privacy statement by reference. Use of the site is conditioned on acceptance of these terms.

How do I get reimbursed for expenses from a disrupted WestJet flight?
