Placed an order via mobile app. Ordered 4 sandwiches was charged for 5 (5th sandwich was initially ordered wrong and was deleted before order was submitted) Changed payment info by deleting card on file and saved a new card to keep on file. Marked new card as default payment. Paid for order. Went back into order to check everything. That’s when I found I was charged for the sandwich that had been deleted and they used the card that also that had been removed. These actions created a BIG argument at home.
1. Using deleted card overdrew my bank account.
2. Told credit issued (it was not issued at the time of getting refund for extra sandwich)
3. Was told credit will take 48 hours and they would not be responsible if a charge was applied for being overdrawn.

Deleted card is still on file

I was followed out of the Solon Iowa Subway 1-7-2026 with an employee swearing at me, then standing at my car. I called the Police, who only interviewed everyone. I have emailed Subway twice, and Postal mailed a formal complaint with NO response. Likely NOT a safe place to eat! Paul

Too bad you can't leave a review with ZERO stars! Myself and THREE friends USED eat at our local Subway once or twice a week. Today, we TRIED to eat at our local store in Magnolia, Texas and it was a miserable failure. They have introduced a new "kiosk" ordering system that absolutely SUCKS! After about 5 minutes trying to figure it out, my two friends had FINALLY ordered a sandwich they intended to share. After seeing that, I said I would NOT go through that frustration to simply order a sandwich and decided to skip lunch! Well, they got their "5 meat Italian" and found it had jalapenos on it which neither had INTENTIONALLY ordered. Since they weren't standing at the counter to see their sandwich made, they didn't see the jalapenos going on it. It turned out they had (supposedly) ordered THREE chips and drinks. I took one of the drink cups and was going to get a drink. I'm allergic to caffeine and the ONLY caffeine free soft drink (Sierra Mist now) was out of order. NONE of us could figure out how to get the ice dispenser to work. An employee cam out and said it didn't work well with their cups and you had to press the dispenser with your hand while holding a up under it. C'mon! Is that customer service???

The people behind the counter THEN told us we could have ordered at the counter in the old way but it was a little late. We were ALL very disappointed in the experience and I will tell you, if this is the way Subway is going, you have lost three customers. Incidentally, we saw no less that 5 customers come in, try the kiosk and walk out.

After YEARS working in Product Assurance, I have to point out that the only thing Subway is really selling is CUSTOMER SERVICE. We can get lunch any number of places and if you leave this kiosk system in place, we'll definitely find a local restaurant that still understands that the customer defines your success. This isn't it!

Lastly, I went to the Subway.com website. There is NO WAY to talk to a real person OR send an email and the contact form says there is not a Subway near our zip code. WRONG! But, given the intelligence that was displayed by installing the kiosks, I'm not surprised they don't have the zip code look up correct!

Went into the Walmart subway in Mitchell, South Dakota number 2990. Ask for a sandwich ask him to put mayonnaise on the bottom three times they grab cheese. I said mayonnaise on the bottom and then she starts putting the cheese on the sandwich and I said put the meat on first and the cheese on top so I can toast it that way and I still want mayonnaise on the bottom and she said that’s not the way I make the sandwich that’s not customer service that sucks. I walked out that’s the first subway that hasn’t made the sandwich the way, I’ve wanted it. I don’t understand what’s happening to customer service cause you can’t get a hold of anybody either.
