I asked for extra sauce and even called them to a make sure they made it that way. It was so dry my brother commented it tasted more like a cheese stick than pizza. Barely any sauce at all, on both pizzas. Horrible. I’ve bought a lot of pizza from them this was in Pasco near road 68 tri cities Wa. Today was the worst experience. Will not buy papa John’s anymore after this.
20 years ago they were 5 stars. After booting the CEO for no reason and hostile takeover, the brand has steadily gone downhill in very bad way. They now use Door Dash to deliver, which insures your pizza will be cold. I tried one last time, and saw my Door Dash driver sitting at another restaurant for 25 minutes while the delivery on my pizza went up an equal amount of time. I tried to call to cancel, but pressing "5" to Speak to the Manager/Cancel Order had no one picking up. I called again and selected place another order and it was answered in 1 ring, but the girl was extremely rude and while she said she canceled the order, it was not. I called back again and finally was able to get a manager to answer, he canceled the order. But, 15 minutes later, the driver is at the door with the pizza. She can't speak English, I ask her in the little Spanish I knew if Tu Hable Engles, and she says NO. She proceeds to open an app on her phone and sticks it in my face. After some time I realize this is a translator and I explain through the app why I canceled the order. It's completely unacceptable to me that I have to use a translator to speak to any restaurant delivery and I reported this to the ICE Hotline. I also called the Papa John's manager again and received a different person. As I explained, all they did was laugh. No consolence, no concern, no apology. With the low reviews of all their locations, I'm flabbergasted that they are still in business. You lost a 20+ year old customer from your idiocy and nonsense!
They charged me for an order that kept updating from 530pm to close to 11pm. Despite my frantic attempt to figure out what was going on so I could feed my 3 year old boy, the store had no idea what had or was happening.
After an hour, I made my own pizza that I'm sure was much better than what I would have received if I ever did get it delivered.
I called customer support and talked to a rude person that sounded like she was to busy to provide any details of their process of handling customer complaints. To my extreme surprise, I received and email from the "Area manager" that evening.
The area manager sad they take issues like this seriously and he had instructed the local manager to issue a refund and let him know if there where any other datils.
I sent him all the screen shoots of what happened and explained that just a refund was not going to retain me as a customer. Also, that have wasted too much time dealing with this nonsense.
Its been over a week and here I am with no refund or resolution. Now I have to waste time warning customers of Papa Johns about their complete lack of management and accountability.
Beware! They are extremely unreliable and criminal in this case.
I have a BIG problem with a promotion coupon, and I can't get in touch with any help from customer care dept. Can't get through on phone. Pathetic service!
Since Papa Johns started using DoorDash, I can't order delivery. I wait over three hours if I even get the pizza.
