Overview

Of the three major online agencies, Orbitz has a well-established reputation for making the most of the latest technologies. But until recently, it hardly applied those innovations where they were most needed: in the customer service department. Several new customer-focused initiatives promise to change that. But it is still too early to tell how they might improve the overall customer experience in the long term.

Air Comet cancelled a recent flight from Rome to Madrid and made no reasonable attempt to accomodate me. Cheap Tickets.com does not keep it’s word and has stalled a long time and still has not refunded money paid to them for a flight that did not exist. Beware of these two companies. Richard Fox

i called to get prices on a room for my family a fall trip. a girl amanda took the call.
i ask a few questions and was telling her there would be 5 of us in a room. the 5 would be my husband , me, my 9 year old twins and my 14 yaer old . amanda did not ask what motel it was before she told me that 5 couldn’t stay in a room. i was asking her if we could get a roll away bed to put in the room when she hung up on me. i was not very happy . i don’t need your hateful customer service. i can go some were else to get a room . they are people out there that will help me and i’m not so dumb i can’t do it myself.

not happy

I booked an upgraded suite at New York, New York in Las Vegas for a convention through Orbitz. When I arrived at the hotel, they told me they had sold my room and could only offer me a standard small room, despite the fact that I pre-paid in full for the room with Orbitz. When I tried to talk to the hotel manager, he told me that he could not discuss this with me because Orbitz had paid for the room on their credit card and all inquires had to come from them. When I called Orbitz, they told me that I had to talk to the manager to get a room I was satisfied with. When I told them what the manager said, they hung up on me! After the trip, I tried to get a refund of the difference between the regular room I got and the suite I ordered. At first they told me that it was my responsibility to get the money back from the hotel (despite the fact that they paid for the room with their credit card, not my credit card), then kept telling me they could not do anything more for me since the trip was over. I have NEVER used them since then and ALWAYS reserve rooms directly with the hotel. Oh, and Travelocity is no better with their service. My advice…skip all these guys and go direct.
