Here’s the view that greeted us when we checked into the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front yesterday afternoon.
Beautiful? Yes. But it’s also 40 degrees, not counting the wind chill factor.
Maybe that’s why there’s no one here. But you know us — we’re contrarian travelers. We go where no one else does. And when no one else does.
We spent most of the day at the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola. The kids loved it.

Beautiful view of the pier in Pensacola Beach. 40 degrees and a wind chill; that’s quite cold.
We have been going to Santa Rosa Island in Pensacola for years – eat at Peg Leg Pete’s. You won’t be sorry!
Love Peg Leg Pete’s. Flounders is also quite good. And you’ve got to check out O’Briens in downtown P-cola near the Civic Center.
