The site is provided as-is with no warranties, and VW disclaims liability for site availability, accuracy, third-party content, and any decisions made based on AI-generated outputs. Most significantly for consumers, the terms include a binding individual arbitration clause, a jury trial waiver, and a class-action waiver, meaning disputes about the site or the terms must be resolved one-on-one through arbitration rather than in court or as part of a group lawsuit. Disputes are governed by Virginia law, except for California customers, whose claims fall under California law. Connected vehicle services (myVW+) and Volkswagen Credit have their own separate terms.

Volkswagen’s bumper-to-bumper New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers most 2020 and later models for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The powertrain warranty matches the bumper-to-bumper coverage, and electric vehicle batteries carry a separate eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty. Volkswagen dealerships are independently owned and operated, which means VW of America does not have direct authority over a dealer’s pricing, sales tactics, or service decisions. That said, VW does monitor dealer conduct and can pressure a dealer to resolve a legitimate complaint. Start by escalating in writing to the dealership’s general manager. Report safety defects directly to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. NHTSA reviews every complaint and uses patterns across multiple reports to decide whether to open an investigation, which can lead to a recall.
