Ford customer service policies

Ford's U.S. Privacy Notice describes what personal information Ford collects from drivers, customers, and website visitors — including account data, vehicle data, location, and connected-vehicle telematics — and explains how Ford uses that information for marketing, product improvement, safety research, and required disclosures. The notice also outlines consumer rights under state privacy laws (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, and Virginia), how to submit data access and deletion requests, and how Ford handles cookies, advertising identifiers, and sharing with affiliates and dealers.

Ford loyalty program

Ford operates FordPass Rewards, a points-based program managed through the FordPass mobile app. Members earn points on new-vehicle purchases and on dealer service and parts purchases; points can be redeemed for service, accessories, complimentary maintenance, and a portion of a future vehicle purchase.

Frequently asked questions about Ford

Enter your 17-character VIN at ford.com/support/recalls or at nhtsa.gov/recalls. Ford has issued unusually large recalls in 2025 — including rearview-camera software, transmission valve body, axle hub, engine connecting rod, and rear seat belt anchor campaigns covering 2020-2026 models. Recall repairs are performed by a Ford or Lincoln dealer at no charge.
Ford has issued multiple software recalls in 2025 and 2026 for frozen, missing, or inverted rearview camera images across Bronco, F-150, Edge, Escape, Explorer, Mustang Mach-E, Transit, Maverick, and several Lincoln models. Affected vehicles get a free over-the-air or dealer-installed software update. Check the recall status by VIN at ford.com/support/recalls.
BlueCruise is Ford's hands-free, eyes-on Level 2 driver-assistance system, available on the Mustang Mach-E, F-150, Expedition, and several Lincoln models on more than 130,000 miles of Hands-Free Blue Zone roads in the U.S. and Canada. NHTSA has previously opened investigations into the system following reported incidents; owners should check Ford's BlueCruise help page for the current driver requirements and supported roads.
Lemon law eligibility is set by state — most require a defect that substantially impairs use, value, or safety, and that the dealer has had a reasonable number of repair attempts (often three or four for the same defect, or 30+ days out of service). Start by contacting your selling dealer and the Ford Customer Relationship Center at (800) 392-3673. If unresolved, you can file with the BBB Auto Line program Ford participates in, or consult a state-licensed lemon law attorney. Document every repair order in writing.
In September 2025, Ford announced it would relocate from the Henry Ford II World Center — known as the "Glass House" — to a new world headquarters campus in Dearborn. The new building opened November 16, 2025; full relocation is expected by mid-2026, after which the Glass House is slated for demolition. The corporate mailing address remains 1 American Rd., Dearborn, MI 48126.
FordPass Rewards points are typically valued at one cent each ($0.01) when redeemed against eligible dealer service, parts and accessories, or as a credit toward a new vehicle purchase. New-vehicle purchases earn a one-time block of bonus points; service visits and tire purchases at participating dealers earn ongoing points. Redeem inside the FordPass app or at ford.com/fordpass/fordpass-rewards.
Ford's New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers most 2025 and 2026 models for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The powertrain warranty runs 5 years or 60,000 miles. Hybrid and electric components on the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning are covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles. Corrosion (rust-through) coverage is 5 years with unlimited mileage. Roadside assistance is included for 5 years or 60,000 miles. See ford.com/support/warranty for the current Warranty Guide PDF.
For EV-specific issues — charging, range, software updates, or the BlueOval Charge Network — call Ford's Customer Relationship Center at (800) 392-3673 or use the chat and form options at ford.com/support/contact-ford. For charging-network help on the road, the BlueOval Charge Network app provides 24-hour support, and FordPass also surfaces nearby charging stations and status alerts.
