MR PORTER is owned by Richemont, a Swiss luxury goods group. In October 2024, Richemont agreed to sell its online luxury business, YOOX NET-A-PORTER (YNAP), which includes MR PORTER, to Mytheresa. This transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2025.

MR PORTER and NET-A-PORTER are sister companies within the YOOX NET-A-PORTER Group (YNAP), an online luxury fashion retailer. NET-A-PORTER, founded in 2000 by Natalie Massenet, focuses on women’s fashion; MR PORTER, launched in 2011, caters to men’s fashion. In 2015, YNAP was formed through the merger of YOOX Group and The NET-A-PORTER Group.
