Frequently asked questions about Gate 1 Travel
- For Customer Service: Call (844) 827-9996.
- Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- From USA and Canada: (215) 572-7676
- Consider whether you purchased travel protection or the Cancel for Any Reason Waiver (CFAR). These options can provide additional coverage for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.
- The CFAR allows you to cancel up to 72 hours before departure for any reason not covered in the Travel Protection Plan.
- Check fixed change fee:
- First, review the fixed change fees to check if a change is allowed. You can find these fees in your ticket email or the MyGate1 platform.
- If your ticket states that changes are not allowed, Gate 1 probably won’t be able to help you, as per the airline’s conditions. Similarly, if a ticket is non-changeable, no refund can be offered.
- Calculate estimated fare difference:
- Do a new search online with your desired dates, times, and route.
- Select the preferred flight(s) and check the new ticket price.
- Subtract the old/original ticket price (stated in your confirmation email or invoice) from this new ticket price.
- This will give you an estimated fare difference: New ticket price – old ticket price = estimated fare difference.
- Request the change:
- If you know the costs involved and exactly what change needs to be made, start a change request on the Gate 1 website.
- Gate 1 will call you to discuss your options, and send you an online pay link if you approve the fees.
- Your calculation is an estimate, and the fare difference might be higher.
- The company can only process your change request if:
- The leading booker (the person who created and confirmed the booking) requests the change.
- Your new flights are operated by the same airline as your original booking.
- You have requested only one change (multiple requests cannot be handled).
- Fixed change fee.
- Fare difference.
