Help! My Hilton downgrade has left me in limbo

Henry Pash upgraded his Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare but quickly realized he could not afford the new payments. He requested a reversal to his original agreement, and Hilton representatives told him not to make payments while they handled the issue. The reversal request dragged on for months while his account showed delinquency, dropping his credit score 43 points. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, companies must correct inaccurate information on credit reports promptly. Most states have timeshare laws allowing cancellation within a cooling-off period, typically 3 to 15 days after purchase.
