Privacy policy

Vinted’s privacy center explains how personal data is collected, used, stored, and shared. The company collects contact details, transaction history, and usage data to operate accounts, process payments, and provide support. Data may be shared with service providers, business partners, and legal authorities when required. Users can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data through their account settings or by contacting support.

Refund policy

Vinted does not operate a traditional return policy. Instead, buyers are covered by Buyer Protection, a mandatory fee-based service included in every transaction. Buyers may claim a refund if an item is not received, arrives damaged, or differs significantly from its description. Claims must be submitted within 2 days of delivery by tapping “I have an issue” in the app. Change-of-mind returns are not covered.

User terms and conditions

Vinted’s terms govern the use of its platform by buyers and sellers. Vinted acts as an intermediary and is not a party to individual transactions. The terms cover Buyer Protection, permitted and prohibited item categories, account suspension rules, and intellectual property.

To find your account settings on Vinted, tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner of the app, then select the circular profile picture at the top right to access “Settings,” where you can manage personal details, payment info, and more.

To sell on Vinted, download the app, create an account, and complete your profile. Tap “sell now” to list items, upload clear photos, write a detailed description, and set a price. Listings are free and immediately visible to the Vinted community.

Once your Vinted order has shipped, you will receive tracking information via email. You can track your order directly through the platform or by using the tracking number provided by the carrier.

How do I make a payment on Vinted?

Payments on Vinted can be made securely through the platform using credit or debit cards, PayPal, or other available payment methods, depending on your location.

Why was my Vinted account blocked without warning?

Vinted can block accounts temporarily or permanently for violations of its terms and conditions, catalog rules, or community guidelines. Common reasons include suspected fraud, listing prohibited items, or having multiple accounts. If your account was blocked, check your Vinted inbox for a message explaining the reason. To contest a temporary block, contact Vinted through the help center at vinted.com/help/. Note that Vinted has stated that permanent block decisions are generally final.

What happens to my Vinted balance if my account is blocked?

If your account is permanently blocked and you have a remaining balance, you can contact Vinted via the “Contact us” button in the help center. According to Vinted’s published guidance, the company will temporarily unblock your account for 24 hours so you can withdraw funds to your linked bank account. Act promptly when your account is unblocked to complete the withdrawal.

How do I appeal a Buyer Protection dispute that was not resolved in my favor?

If you believe Vinted’s resolution of a Buyer Protection dispute was incorrect, you can escalate by contacting Vinted customer support through the in-app “Contact us” option or via the help center at vinted.com/help. Provide any additional evidence such as photos, messages, or tracking records. If the issue remains unresolved, you may also contact Elliott Advocacy for help at no charge.

What is the 2-day window for submitting a Buyer Protection claim on Vinted?

After your item is marked as delivered, you have 2 calendar days to tap the “I have an issue” button in your Vinted conversation with the seller. If you tap “Everything is OK” or do not act within this window, the transaction is automatically marked as complete and your payment is released to the seller. Vinted does not reopen completed transactions, so acting quickly is critical if there is a problem with your order.
