What you need to know about Ticketmaster

We receive many complaints about Ticketmaster. We’ve advocated a range of Ticketmaster cases, from bad seats to botched refunds. Our latest involves someone whose tickets didn’t even exist. Also, this customer was not refunded despite not being able to see a show. The venue downgraded the customer’s seats and refused to issue a refund. Ticketmaster is one of the most complained-about companies we cover. This P!nk fan couldn’t see the stage — but Ticketmaster still wouldn’t give her a refund.

Ticketmaster customer service policies

Privacy policy

Ticketmaster’s privacy policy describes the personal information the company collects from users — including purchase history, account details, and device data — and how that information is used to process orders, provide customer support, and serve marketing. It also explains data-sharing practices with affiliated companies and third-party service providers, user rights around data access and deletion, and the company’s data retention practices.

Purchase policy

Ticketmaster’s purchase policy covers the terms and conditions for buying tickets through its platform. All sales are generally final; refunds are available only when an event is canceled or when the event organizer has approved them. The policy also addresses ticket limits, resale, mobile delivery, and protections that apply to certain resale purchases.

Terms of use

Ticketmaster’s terms of use govern access to and use of the ticketmaster.com site and related services. They cover account registration, user content, ticket purchasing rules, prohibited conduct, and a mandatory arbitration clause and class action waiver. Last updated August 12, 2025.

Frequently asked questions about Ticketmaster

What is the relationship between Ticketmaster and Live Nation Entertainment?

Live Nation Entertainment is the parent company of Ticketmaster, having acquired it in 2010.

How can I contact Ticketmaster customer service?

What payment methods does Ticketmaster accept?

Ticketmaster accepts major credit and debit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. In some regions, additional payment options such as PayPal or Apple Pay may also be available.

Will I see the full ticket price upfront, or are there extra fees added at checkout?

As of 2025, Ticketmaster displays all-in pricing that includes service fees in the listed ticket price, a change made in response to regulatory requirements. However, some third-party sites and older event listings may not reflect this change. Always review the order summary before completing a purchase to confirm the total amount.

Can I get a refund if my event is postponed rather than cancelled?

Ticketmaster’s purchase policy states that all sales are final and that refunds are determined by the event organizer, not Ticketmaster. If an event is postponed, your tickets remain valid for the new date; refunds are only available if the event organizer has approved them. If a “Request Refund” button appears in your account under My Tickets, refunds have been authorized. Check your account or call Ticketmaster at (800) 653-8000 for event-specific guidance.

What should I do if my tickets disappear from my Ticketmaster account?

Log in to your Ticketmaster account and navigate to My Tickets. If tickets are not visible, check whether they were transferred. If no transfer was authorized, contact Ticketmaster customer support through the in-account chat or call (800) 653-8000. Ticketmaster has acknowledged past issues with unauthorized use of the ticket transfer feature. Document your original order confirmation number before contacting support.

What should I do if my Ticketmaster account is locked or suspended?

If your account is locked, contact Ticketmaster by phone at (800) 653-8000 or submit a form through the help center. Be prepared to verify your identity. Ticketmaster may require 3 to 5 business days for account review, though multiple customers have reported longer waits. If the issue is not resolved promptly, escalate using the executive contacts listed on this page.

Can I resell my Ticketmaster tickets on a platform other than Ticketmaster?

Whether you can resell tickets outside of Ticketmaster’s platform depends on the event organizer’s settings. Many events use Ticketmaster’s Verified Tickets system, which restricts transfers and resale to Ticketmaster’s own platform. If resale is enabled outside of Ticketmaster, you may list on other platforms, but tickets must be transferred digitally. Check your order in My Tickets for available options.

Does the antitrust verdict against Live Nation and Ticketmaster affect my tickets or fees?

A federal jury found in April 2026 that Live Nation and Ticketmaster illegally monopolized the live event ticketing market and overcharged consumers by an average of $1.72 per ticket. A remedies hearing is expected no earlier than February 2027. At this time, no automatic refunds have been announced. A separate FTC case regarding resale practices is also pending. Monitor news from the relevant attorneys general in your state for updates on any consumer refund processes.

they shut my account due to suspect activity and would give me zero reason for said action. i am retired and have a lot of money to spend to see live shows and they still have it shut down with no reason except " we can shut down any account for any reason without explanation" i asked several times for a call back from a " supervisor" and was told to supply my number and they claimed several call attempts were made but yet zero incoming calls from them or anyone and they message me telling me they can no longer help, but yet my number is NOT on any " do not call registries nor is my number blocked and i had TMobile remove the spam call protection, so TicketMaster customer service is a scam!!!! they will not help, they already have your money and would rather sell to ticket agencies also owned by LiveNation/ Oak View Group..I hope the States suing them have them Dismantled as a monopoly they truly are.!!! They Suck.!! full Stop.!!

Customer service never answers the phone. I wish I could give 0 stars.

I LOVE IT! IT'S AWESOME!

 by Mike

My rating would be negative stars if I could. 11/1/25 can't buy tickets because their site identifies possible fraud. Called the number on the error messages multiple times, no answer. Left multiple messages. Today is 11/9/25 nobody has called. Called customer service yesterday was told to wait. Asked for this to be escalated, was told I would hear back in 24 hours, nobody called. Called again today, "you need to wait."

We need a company to purchase tickets through who A) has their shit together, B) actually values their customers. This is no way to run a business.

If there is fraud, Ticketmaster will be reimbursing me. I will go bankrupt suing them.

The terrible suck, I have season tickets and my acct is locked, they keep telling me they will call in 3 to 5 days, this is the 6 time i've heard that, it been 17 days and still no call. All the dumb people tell me is that all they can do is put a request in, 3 to 5 days, I wouldn't ecen give them 1 star but I have to
