Shane Confectionery is America’s oldest continuously operated confectionery, established in 1863 at 110 Market Street in Old City, Philadelphia. The Shane family took over the business in 1911 and operated it for nearly a century, giving the shop its enduring name. In 2010, brothers Ryan and Eric Berley — who also own the neighboring Franklin Fountain — purchased the shop and reopened it in 2011 after a careful Victorian-era restoration.

What is Shane Confectionery's return and refund policy?

Shane Confectionery does not accept returns on packages lost or stolen after delivery confirmation, or on candy that melted because the customer didn’t select the cold shipping option at checkout. If an order arrives damaged, customers must email orders@shanecandies.com with their order number and a photo of the issue. Shipping costs are non-refundable in all cases.

What is Shane Confectionery's shipping policy?

Shane Confectionery ships candy and ice cream anywhere in the continental United States only — no international shipping, and no delivery to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico. Frozen ice cream ships on Tuesdays only (order cutoff is Sunday at 11:59 PM), arrives Wednesday or Thursday depending on the shipping tier selected, and must be documented with a photo within 10 hours of delivery if it arrives melted.
