Privacy policy

Robinhood’s Robinhood Financial Entities US Online Privacy Statement describes how the company collects, uses, stores, and shares personal and financial information across its brokerage, crypto, money, and credit subsidiaries. It covers transaction data, device and location data collected through tracking technologies, third-party data sharing with service providers and advertising partners, and user rights including data access and deletion. Users can manage certain privacy preferences directly in the app under Security and Privacy settings.

Return and refund policy

Robinhood does not sell physical goods and does not have a standard return policy. For billing disputes related to Gold membership fees or Gold Card transactions, users should contact support through the app or at robinhood.com/contact. Crypto and securities transactions cannot be reversed once executed, and Robinhood generally does not provide reimbursements for authorized transfers. Refunds for purchases made with Gold Card reward points through Amazon are handled directly by Amazon.

Terms and conditions

Robinhood’s Robinhood Terms and Conditions outline the rules governing use of the platform and all associated content. Frequently asked questions about Robinhood

My Robinhood account has been restricted and I don't know why. What can I do?

Robinhood may restrict accounts for reasons related to internal risk policies, identity verification, or regulatory requirements, and does not always disclose the specific reason. To begin the resolution process, open a support case in the app or at robinhood.com/contact. If you are locked out of the app, email support@robinhood.com with your registered email address. If your case is not resolved within a reasonable time, you may escalate to the executive contacts listed above or file a complaint with FINRA, the SEC, or your state’s securities regulator.

Robinhood closed my account and blocked my crypto transfer. What are my options?

Robinhood may close accounts and restrict outbound crypto transfers simultaneously, which has been a recurring complaint in 2025–2026. The company’s terms allow it to close accounts without advance notice for violations of its risk policies. If you believe your account was closed in error, contact support via the app or at robinhood.com/contact and request written clarification. If you cannot access the app, try emailing report@robinhood.com. You may also escalate to Robinhood’s executive contacts or file a complaint with FINRA or the CFPB.

I've been locked out of the app. How can I contact Robinhood support without app access?

Robinhood’s primary support channels — chat and phone callback — are accessed through the app or at robinhood.com/contact. If you cannot log in, try the web version at robinhood.com first. I changed my phone number and can no longer receive 2FA codes. How do I regain account access?

Robinhood uses two-factor authentication tied to your registered phone number or trusted device. If you no longer have access to either, initiate a support request through the web at robinhood.com/contact. You may be asked to verify your identity through alternative means. This process can take several days. Robinhood recommends updating your phone number before changing devices to avoid this problem.

A family member has died and had a Robinhood account. How do I access or close the account?

Robinhood requires documentation — including a death certificate and applicable legal authority such as letters testamentary — to process a deceased account holder’s assets. Initiate the process by contacting support at robinhood.com/contact. Note that the standard self-service login flow may not be accessible to survivors. If you encounter difficulty, email support@robinhood.com directly from your own email address, referencing the deceased account holder’s registered email.

I think I was scammed by someone pretending to be Robinhood. What should I do?

Robinhood will never call you unprompted, ask for your password, or direct you to transfer funds to an external wallet to “verify” your account. If you believe you were scammed, immediately change your Robinhood password, freeze your account in the app if possible, and report the incident to report@robinhood.com. Also file a report with the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov and with local law enforcement. Robinhood generally does not reimburse losses from authorized transfers, so prompt action is critical.

How do I cancel Robinhood Gold if I can't access the app?

Robinhood Gold cancellation is primarily designed to be completed through the app (Account → Gold → Downgrade). If you cannot access the app, try the web at robinhood.com. Some users have reported that the web version also requires the mobile app for certain account actions, which has been flagged as a concern on consumer review platforms. This is the worst app that I've ever used. I tried to sign on and I used the password and they said it was not the password and I tried calling, but I couldn't get through to no one and they're telling me because someone tried to transfer my crypto that I can never transfer my crypto if I wanna go to another brokerage company the only way I can do it is if I sell my crypto, but if I do that, I will lose money. I rate this app a -100.

I don't know if my first review went through. I just want to say that this is the worst app I've ever used and I want to give it a rating of -100. They're holding my crypto captive, and I can't get through on the telephone to an agent to speak to someone.

This is the worst app I’ve ever had in my entire life, I’ve been trying to close my account and I can’t because I can’t withdraw my money because they give me so little money available to withdraw per day and there’s no way to contact them. All I want is to get out of this app and delete and never look back and I’m having a really hard time. Do not and I repeat, do not use this app ever.
