Updated March 21, 2025, this notice describes the categories of personal information Princess collects — including contact details, payment data, and location — and explains how that information may be shared with service providers, marketing partners, and affiliates within Carnival Corporation. Guests can request data deletion or opt out of certain uses.

Cancellation and refund policy

Cancellation fees vary based on itinerary length and how far in advance a guest cancels. Guests who cancel within 90 to 14 days of departure (depending on sailing length) face fees ranging from a deposit loss to 100% of the fare. Specially priced promotions may be 100% non-refundable from the point of payment. Princess Vacation Protection is available to U.S. and Canadian residents (excluding New York, Puerto Rico, and Quebec).

Reference any confirmation number or booking ID and document the name of the agent who made the promise. My Princess cruise was involuntarily canceled and I was charged a cancellation fee. Is that correct?

If Princess cancels a cruise and you did not cancel it yourself, you should not be subject to standard cancellation fees. Under Princess’s nonperformance policy, guests are entitled to a full refund of the cruise fare and ancillary charges when Princess cancels a sailing and the guest does not accept an alternative. Submit documentation (your travel summary, proof of payment, and the cancellation notice) through the Customer Support and Information form at princess.com/help within 180 days of the original embarkation date. If charges are incorrectly applied, escalate in writing to customer relations.

I purchased a Princess Promotions future cruise credit package onboard. What is the difference between Princess Promotions and Princess Cruises?

Princess Promotions operates onboard ships and sells future cruise credits and travel packages. It functions separately from the main Princess Cruises customer service team. Complaints about Princess Promotions packages — including hotel credit redemption issues and payment schedule discrepancies — should be directed to the contact information provided in your Princess Promotions paperwork. What happens if the Princess website shows a package (such as Princess Plus) applied at checkout but my confirmation does not reflect it?
