Frequently asked questions about Amangiri

Amangiri is part of the Aman Luxury Travel Resorts and Hotels chain.
Yes, Amangiri has an online chat service.
Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort, including in guest rooms and public areas.
Amangiri is the main resort — 34 modernist suites built around a central pool carved from a rock escarpment, with a full-service spa, restaurant, and sweeping desert views. Camp Sarika is a separate 10-pavilion tented retreat a short drive or hike away; each pavilion has its own private plunge pool and fire pit, with a stronger emphasis on nature immersion and outdoor adventure. Guests staying at Camp Sarika have full access to Amangiri's spa, pool, and dining facilities. Note that there are no connecting rooms at either property — families needing adjoining accommodation should confirm room configurations directly with the resort before booking.
The closest commercial airport is Page Municipal Airport (PGA) in Arizona, about 25 minutes from the resort; Amangiri provides complimentary shuttle transfers from Page. Contour Airlines operates scheduled service between Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) and Page. Alternatively, you can drive from Las Vegas (roughly 4–4.5 hours) or Phoenix (approximately 4.5 hours). From Salt Lake City the drive is approximately 5 hours. Private charter service is available through RYL Jets, Amangiri's preferred partner; email flightdesk@ryljets.com or call (310) 684-3192. If driving, plan to arrive before 4 p.m. to catch the desert sunset on property.
Summer temperatures (June–August) regularly exceed 100°F during the day. Most strenuous outdoor activities — hikes, via ferrata, UTV excursions — are best scheduled before 9 a.m. or after 6 p.m. to avoid peak heat. The resort programs summer heavily around its pool, spa, and Lake Powell water excursions, which are ideal in summer when lake waters are warmest. If outdoor adventure is your primary goal, spring (March–May) and fall (September–early November) offer the most comfortable conditions for activities outside the resort.
Yes — rates at both Amangiri and Camp Sarika are full-board, meaning breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two guests per room are included. Alcoholic beverages are not included and are charged separately. Some packaged offers also include spa credits or activity vouchers; check the current promotions page at aman.com/resorts/amangiri/exclusives before booking. Be aware that the dining menu is limited and does not change frequently, and there are no alternative restaurants nearby — the resort is extremely remote. If diverse dining options are important to you, factor this in before booking.
Amangiri welcomes children ages 1 and older. The resort's remote luxury setting does not include dedicated children's programs, but families with teenagers have reported positive experiences, particularly for outdoor excursions. Amangiri does not offer connecting rooms — families requiring adjoining accommodation should ask about suite configurations before booking. Fees for extra beds and cribs are not included in the room rate and must be paid on arrival. Note that some third-party booking sites incorrectly state a minimum age of 16; that information is inaccurate. Contact the resort directly at (833) 654-2626 or amangiri@aman.com to confirm room options for your family.
Yes, pets are welcome. Dogs and cats up to 50 lbs — a maximum of two pets per room — are permitted for a fee of $100 per pet, per night, collected at check-in. Pets are not allowed in the dining room, spa, or pool areas. You must request a pet-friendly room in advance; call (833) 654-2626 or email amangiri@aman.com before your arrival. Service animals are exempt from the pet fee. Keep in mind that the surrounding desert terrain can be dangerously hot during summer months, which poses real risks for animals outdoors.
Drones are prohibited on property to protect the natural environment and the privacy of other guests. Private professional or commercial photography — including social-media content creation with a hired photographer — is not permitted without prior written consent from the resort. Personal photography for non-commercial use is welcome. If you are planning any photography beyond casual personal use, contact Amangiri in advance at amangiri@aman.com; your photographer will need to be named and will be required to sign the resort's photography agreement before arrival.
