By the way, here’s our full report from our family travel website.
This certainly was an interesting week. We had more fallout from the airline merger that’s falling apart, with a rather heated debate that took over my personal Facebook page on a slow Sunday afternoon.
I’ve taken a few steps to make sure that doesn’t happen again. If you want to see photos of our family adventure, I hope you’ll follow me on Facebook. But if you want to know what I think of misguided bloggers who do an airline’s bidding, it is not the place to go.
The other big event that kept me chained to my desk? The book project. Edits were coming in hot and heavy all week from the mothership in Washington. I’m more excited than ever about How to Be the World’s Smartest Traveler and I know you’re going to love the book. It was definitely worth giving up part of my stay in Mendocino to finish.
I loved Mendocino. It had just the right amount of coffee shops, chocolatiers and wine stores to keep me stimulated until my next deadline. And it takes a pretty picture, too.
Our next stop is Neskowin, Ore., as we work our way up the West Coast. I’ll have more soon.
