Jodi Parsons’ husband dies before he can take his Spirit Airlines flight from New Orleans to Chicago. Can she get a refund?
Question: My husband, Loren, purchased a ticket from Spirit Airlines for a trip from New Orleans to Chicago for travel this summer. Unfortunately, he passed away about two weeks before his flight. I canceled his flight two days after his death.
When I inquired with Spirit about a refund, the representative instructed me to file a complaint and attach Loren’s death certificate, which I did a few days later. It’s been three weeks and I have heard nothing from Spirit. I saw one of your columns where you helped another person with an identical issue. Would you be able to help me get a $153 refund from Spirit? — Jodi Parsons, San Diego
