Founded by owner and creator, Jim H. Thompson in 1994 with the original concept of a northwoods themed hotel that provided the feeling of more than just a guest room. Since that original dream, 3 Stoney Creek Inn properties, 11 Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center properties, a Grand Lodge Waterpark Resort, and Historic Park Inn, the only Frank Lloyd Wright designed and built hotel, make up a total 15 locations spanning five midwestern states.
