You did it! Thanks to your support, we’ve had our most successful fundraiser ever.
As of Thursday afternoon, we’ve raised $8,755 — just $1,245 short of our goal.
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. But before I do, I want to tell you it’s not too late to help.
We can still make it to $10,000 by midnight tomorrow, the official end of our fall fundraiser. Remember, every penny is going straight to this site’s consumer advocacy.
Here’s how to be a part of the effort.
I’m sitting on a pile of premiums that I can’t wait to give away. They include books like Travel: The Guide and Remote Places. I’m giving away my highly useful book, How to Be The World’s Smartest Traveler.
I also have copies of the ever-popular Alaska Tour Saver, which contains more than $20,000 in savings for your next trip to the Last Frontier. And, in keeping with our Alaska theme, I have copies of Alaska on the Go: Exploring the 49th State With Children.
But that’s not all: I still have luggage to give away from our friends at Skyroll and Delsey plus a weekend rental from Hertz. Everything must go!
Here’s how to become a supporter.
This will be the last request for help of the year, so I wanted to take this chance to express my deep gratitude.
As you probably know, this hasn’t been an easy fall for my advocacy practice. There’s been a lot turmoil and uncertainty. The critics are circling even as I write this, hoping to destroy this site and all that it stands for.
I’m not afraid. When my supporters stand behind the work I do with real money, that’s a powerful statement. It says: “We believe in you.” And I’m absolutely certain the critics and reputation management operatives won’t succeed.
If you’ve supported this site with a donation, thank you. If you’re thinking of becoming an underwriter, there’s still time. If you can’t be part of this fundraiser, I hope you’ll consider participating next time.
Thank you for reading, for being part of the conversation, and for caring.
