Thank you … and one last thing!

You did it! Thanks to your support, we’ve had our most successful fundraiser ever.

As of Thursday afternoon, we’ve raised $8,755 — just $1,245 short of our goal.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. But before I do, I want to tell you it’s not too late to help.

Elliott Advocacy is underwritten by Travel Leaders Group. Travel Leaders Group is transforming travel through its progressive approach toward each unique travel experience. Travel Leaders Group assists millions of travelers through its leisure, business and network travel operations under a variety of diversified divisions and brands including All Aboard Travel, Andrew Harper Travel, Colletts Travel, Corporate Travel Services, CruCon Cruise Outlet, Cruise Specialists, Nexion, Protravel International, SinglesCruise.com, Travel Leaders Corporate, Travel Leaders Network and Tzell Travel Group, and its merger with ALTOUR. With more than 7,000 agency locations and 52,000 travel advisors, Travel Leaders Group ranks as one of the industry’s largest retail travel agency companies.

We can still make it to $10,000 by midnight tomorrow, the official end of our fall fundraiser. Remember, every penny is going straight to this site’s consumer advocacy.

Here’s how to be a part of the effort.

I’m sitting on a pile of premiums that I can’t wait to give away. They include books like Travel: The Guide and Remote Places. I’m giving away my highly useful book, How to Be The World’s Smartest Traveler.

I also have copies of the ever-popular Alaska Tour Saver, which contains more than $20,000 in savings for your next trip to the Last Frontier. And, in keeping with our Alaska theme, I have copies of Alaska on the Go: Exploring the 49th State With Children.

But that’s not all: I still have luggage to give away from our friends at Skyroll and Delsey plus a weekend rental from Hertz. Everything must go!

Here’s how to become a supporter.

This will be the last request for help of the year, so I wanted to take this chance to express my deep gratitude.

As you probably know, this hasn’t been an easy fall for my advocacy practice. There’s been a lot turmoil and uncertainty. The critics are circling even as I write this, hoping to destroy this site and all that it stands for.

I’m not afraid. When my supporters stand behind the work I do with real money, that’s a powerful statement. It says: “We believe in you.” And I’m absolutely certain the critics and reputation management operatives won’t succeed.

If you’ve supported this site with a donation, thank you. If you’re thinking of becoming an underwriter, there’s still time. If you can’t be part of this fundraiser, I hope you’ll consider participating next time.

Thank you for reading, for being part of the conversation, and for caring.
