Agreed, Dr. Tessier. Two drinks should be the limit, by FAA regulation. No argument.

1. Nice article. IAW ATA report, at least one quarter of air incidents are alcohol-related. I feel that passengers (INCLUDING FIRST CLASS) shoiuld be limited to two alcoholic beverages. This should be an FAA regulation, so as to limit competition between airlines.
2. The Flight Attendant is not an Air Marshall, and should not be responsible for a passenger's behavior. Flight Attendants work very hard behind "that curtain", and they deserve more respect from the passengers. (Legally, an unwanted "tap on the arm" is assault and battery!). If they feel they are being mistreated, a call to the Captain is in order. Let him solve the problem, which may include a call ahead for boarding by a Sheriff. .
