I don't fly UA. I stopped flying them when they took didn't credit me several thousand miles (allowing me to get a free domestic ticket). I doubt they have difficulties because I no longer fly them. But not flying them makes me happy--plus they never seem to have the cheapest flight anyway!

lets do something sooner... Xmas and new years is unrealistic. People want to be with their families. I say lets all boycott UA. Completely... Unequivocally. And if we force them back into bankruptcy, well... Good! Lets start this boycott NOW... Don't fly UA!

I agree with Paul. United is the absolute worst airline.. ever! What about the week between Christmas and New Years? That's gotta hurt! It's time to do something! I like your idea.

well, Chris... Not a lot of response here... I have a motto.... If you wanna bitch n moan about something, you better be willing to do something about it... Otherwise, shut up and quit complaining. It ain't that difficult to pick a date... And then we don't fly on that date ... So, its fish or cut bait time. Are you wimps gonna keep complaining, but allow these folks to slide a hot poker up your butt and grab your wallet, or are you gonnastand up and do something about it? I will not fly on September 13, 14, 15 , 16. Who's gonna join me? Otherwise, shit up and pay the piper...

Chris, maybe you can try a b2b itinerary first on one of your trips and let us know if the airline notices. I would hate for one of your readers to end up as a guinea pig and discover that the airline is demanding additional payment for the second ticket when it is time to hop on the plane to go home. It is certainly within the contract rules for them to do so. (See United Airlines Contract of Carriage, Rule 100, Section C.)

Certainly, not using a FF number can help, but is it enough?

My vote is United as well. I am 1K and travel them almost exclusively. Their recent lack of respect for frequent travelers (and I assume all others), nastiness of flight attendants (how hard is it to smile?), and uselessness of telephone reservations agents has bittered me to the point of pure anger.

If this boycott happen, I would easily start flying American for a month or more. They have much more pleasant flight attendants, allow priority seating for Platinum, and have dedicated Platinum phone support which are all things United lacks.

Between ignorant staff at airports, rude and incompetent TSA screeners and the introduction of rules which I feel violate my civil and God-given rights, and the overall horrible attitude of the airlines, I've chosen to simply stop flying at all. It may take me longer to get to my destination, but at least I can plan it at my leisure and not have to worry about a flight being delayed, being stranded on the tarmac, or being arrested for violating whatever new inane rule the airlines, TSA or anybody else decides to dream up.
