I think that people want to go home and say, "I vacationed in Yemen. No one goes there." It's about discovering the next undiscovered destination. And it's about telling stories when you get home that make people sit up and take notice. I recently returned from Belize. A perfectly safe place. I've been planning to go on a shark dive for years, but the one I was planning to go on had some safety features--the chum ball was frozen and was suspended 20 feet about the divers, who were to kneel on the sand, not swim with the sharks.
