I’m not a social person, if I had money to vacation at all, I would definatly choose one of the dead weeks.

Every year, we go to Disney or on a cruise with our kids during Dead Week (either right after Thanksgiving or New Year). It is fantastic! We experience cheaper rates, no lines, more attention to our kids by the staff, etc. For families, I would highly recommend it.

No, that’s what vacations are for *you*. For others (like me), vacations are for getting away from work and spending time with my family.

“If you take people out of the equation, you remove most of the fun.”
Taking people out of the equation, reducing the crowds, and lowering the cost doesn’t remove any bit of the fun. In fact, it makes it that much easier and affordable for most folks to achieve the goals of their vacations.

I guess I must not like people. My favorite vacations almost always happen right around or during the several dead weeks you mentioned. Great rates and fewer people. Even, when I’m not skiing they are good.
