Aren and Castor share a quiet moment after chasing each other around the house. This is the first time I really noticed that they both have the same eye color. Pollux, the other cat, has green eyes.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know how difficult it is to lose a cherished pet that has become a family member. A few years ago, my dog Sammy, a black and white pound puppy that had been my constant companion for twelve years, was accidentally struck and killed by my sister as he ran to meet us when we pulled into her farm after a week-end trip. It was a heartbreaking situation . . . I had to deal with his immediate loss while at the farm, then drive home and pack up all this things at my own house, all the while trying to comfort my sister because she was blaming herself for what was truly a freak accident. I now have another rescued dog, Christopher, and I spend each day making sure I pass on the legacy of love from Sammy so Christopher knows how treasured he is. I hope you will be able to pass your love for Castor along to another cat when the time is right. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
