I,m A D.A.V. And have to take a lot of MEDS to keep my pain level down.When I go to a nudest resort I find myself taking 1/2 my normal MEDS.I,m just so more relaxed when I,m nude.You will always meet the friendliest people,we have nothing to hide or to hide behind.HaHa

This article may have been around since 2005 (4 years now), but it’s just as relevant now as it was then. Far too many people cannot separate nudity from sex. Naturism is NOT about sex, exhibitionism or voyeurism. It is about freedom and equality. Stripped of the mask of clothing we can relate to one another as equals. It is about being a complete human and feeling truly ‘alive’.

Thank you for debunking some of the myths that surround naturism.

John may be interested, — no, disappointed, to know that modern nudism goes back to the 1800s in Germany, where it began as an antidote to living in dirty cities during the industrial revolution. Also, nudism was popular in Greece, the society which also created many philosophies and governmental ideas which we treasure in the US today. It’s better to do some research instead of just parroting the same old hangups that everyone else repeats.

Dear John, I’am sorry you feel the way you do…… but I still respect your thoughts, one might try to get over their negative feeling about being naked is to do house work in the buff…….you get some what of the joy of buffness plus get some things done around the house you have been putting off, I use to hate mopping but now its a simple pleasure.

Being nude is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves. It removes the stress of life, refreshes the spirit and relaxes the body. Everyone should experience it just once in their life. Who knows, maybe this world could be a better place.

Mr Elliiot didn’t mention it, but SCUBA NUDE vacations are also popular. Our club is trying to find nude-friendly records (Roatan has NONE apparently!), for 2008.

Poor John, incapable of keeping his morals out of other people’s lives. Nudism has been around a lot longer than 50 years. There are nudist church groups (which probably shocks your bible-thumping soul, John). Nudism isn’t even an American invention, so your America-hate is gonna have to find another outlet.

I enjoy your column immensely and more than once it has been helpful in my travels but nudism is just one aspect of the vast moral decline in America during the last – oh – half century. It’s impossible to believe nudists azre just plain folks, especially when children are involved.
