Iden likes his birthday cake, but there’s not enough icing on his slice. Icing is an important source of sugar for hyperactive three-year-olds.
Postcards
Aren is little more than a blur as he tries to tag Dad inside the bounce house at his brother’s third birthday party. Good thing these balls are made of foam.
Iden turned three today. (OK, actually he turns three next week, but we’re celebrating early because Daddy has to go on a trip.)
Erysse visited ICE at the Gaylord Palms, where the temperature was a bone-chilling eight degrees. What a great excuse to bundle up and do her best Little Red Riding Hood impression.
Erysse had a blast at the Brevard Zoo, and she even got to see scary alligators. They didn’t move a lot, but Mommy said they have sharp teeth, so she kept her distance.
Just what I wanted — Hotwheels! And they’re all mine.
Erysse Elliott turned one, and her parents took her to the Magic Kingdom to get her first haircut. This video was directed by her brother Aren and produced by her brother Iden. Daddy is still trying to figure out how to use Final Cut.
Iden and his friend Carly hang out after the St. Luke’s Christmas show.
The kids pose for their Christmas photos. Kind of.
Grandpa and Iden do their best rendition of “Deck the Halls.” Hard to get into the holiday spirit when it’s 80 degrees outside!
It’s harvest time in Clermont, Fla.
Erysse went orange picking with her grandfather today. They had a great time. She learned it’s better to peel an orange before you eat it.
Here’s a nice shot of the Don in the morning. The kids like to call it the Pink Beach Hotel. Combining three shots at different exposures makes the hotel look almost … orange.
Iden enjoys a stroll on the beach at the Don CeSar in St. Petersburg Beach, Fla. Even though it’s December, it feels a lot like July here.
It’s that time of year! Aren, Erysse and Kari are hanging up the Christmas lights while Daddy makes the eggnog. But not before taking a picture or two.
This is the first photo Aren took for our blog. It was actually two exposures (adding the third would have made the subjects too blurry). And we used a tripod. Daddy doesn’t want to start up Photoshop, so everyone has to hold really still. Way to go, Aren!
Aren got an early Christmas present — a skateboard. That was the easy part. Staying on it … now there’s the challenge!
Aren rode his bike for the first time without training wheels today. No worries. We’re only a few miles from a hospital.
Despite having the sniffles, Iden enjoys a ride on the carousel at Universal Studios. Show me the Cat in the Hat, baby!
Erysse turned one today. Happy birthday, Princess!
