Phew!

Tropical storm Alberto is headed for the Florida Panhandle as I write this. And although it feels as if he’s hammering us right now (the winds have picked up and the rain is pretty intense) we’re all relieved that we’ve dodged the storm this time.

But wait! We’re only two weeks into hurricane season. I’ve got a feeling there’s more out there waiting for us …

A lot of Florida residents leave town during the summer. That seems like a pretty good idea right now.

Problem is, we’re a little young to become snowbirds. Plus, we don’t have a monthly retirement check necessary to have that kind of lifestyle.

By the time we do, who knows where we’ll be?
