Less is more

Minimalism.

In a word, that’s the philosophy that drove the creation of this Web site. The idea of something stripped down to its most fundamental features. No frills. No flourishes.

Full disclosure: I was nearly a philosophy major in college. Then along came two roadblocks. (You’ll like this.) They were the philosophy of language class. And the logic class.

Think!
When you’re a minimalist, what more can you add?

I don’t consider this Web journal a minimalist exercise — it isn’t the online equivalent of, say, a Glass composition or a Hemingway short story. Nor do I necessarily identify with those who describe themselves as postmodern minimalists (but more on that later).

But minimalism, in the sense of creating a site that is broken down into its most basic elements. Less is more. That’s Ellipses.
