Attention, parents! Are you tired of paying sky-high prices to fly the whole family up to Grandma’s for the holidays? Well, now your kids can score free tickets.
There’s just one catch: Your children have to be born on a plane.
Kuwaiti carrier Jazeera Airways has given a baby born on a flight free tickets for her first 18 years.
According to the airline, passenger Heba Majdy went into active labor at altitude of 30,000 feet, just 50 minutes before a scheduled landing on a flight from Kuwait City to Alexandria, Egypt. Another passenger, who was a doctor, helped deliver baby Nancy only minutes before the plane touched down safely.
Jazeera Airways Chairman and CEO Marwan Boodai later congratulated the family and offered their offspring free flights until she turns 18.
Not a bad deal, if you ask me.
Getting free flights for babies born on a plane was dismissed as an urban legend a few years ago. Apparently, the legend lives.
