Tropical depression one — perhaps soon to be tropical storm Alberto — is setting its sights on us in Central Florida. Batten down the hatches!
OK, so it’ll probably just be a weak tropical storm, if the forecasts are to be believed. But those tropical storms have a way of becoming hurricanes. And check out the five-day forecast. This sucker is touring the East Coast of the United States.
Hmmm. New York? Boston?
Stay tuned, folks. (And a programming note: We’re located in the storm’s projected path.)
If you’re traveling, remember to check with your travel agent and/or airline to determine which hurricane cancellation policies are in effect. Usually, airlines will offer a full refund for flights canceled by a hurricane and, in some cases, will also give you credit if your trip is postponed by a storm (certain restrictions apply).
