Marie worked for FAA for more than 15 years before her selection. She started as an electronics engineer, graduating with a BS from Manhattan College, before moving into numerous management positions. Her previous title as Account Manager doesn't come close to explaining the responsibilies of the position.

And, yes, she has flown well beyond the NY metropolitan area and been heavily involved in numerous high level FAA programs/projects to realize the magnitude of the issues surrounding the NY airspace conjestion issues.

I know Marie personally and professionally and can certainly vouch for her abilities.

Also, I'm not sure what you're getting at regarding "airport signage". Airfield side?

I wish her good luck as well.

I wonder whether she has flown enough outside the New York City area to realize the magnitude of the problem. Many of problems with New York's airports will not show up on a report. We all recognize that delays are a huge problem at the NYC airports. While we blame the airlines for delays, often it is the airports which contribute to the problem.

There is some "low hanging fruit" which she could fix quickly. I have not seen a comparison of airport signage, but I know from personal experience that if anyone did one, the New York airports would be near the bottom.
