		<description>The last time I travelled to the US was on December 2004 and was the only person on Security who was not required to remove her shoes. Why? The shoes I was wearing were what I would call &quot;chinese ballet slippers&quot; made of fabric with a very thin plastic sole. Through several security checks (in Miami, Atlanta, Houston, St Louis) I was never asked to remove these shoes, apparently the sole was considered too thin to pose a &quot;threat&quot;.</description>
