My Equipment A lot of people ask me what I use to create my blog. Here's how I do it. Web design. I use Macromedia Dreamweaver, which is easily the best Web design program on the market today. My pages are hosted on Verio's VPS server, which is a robust, scalable product (just in case my blog becomes very popular overnight). Computer. Most of the blog is created on a Dell 8250 PC. It's extra fast and the price is right. When I was a baby, I used a Dell 8100, but it was older than I was and didn't work the way I wanted it to. When I'm on the road I use a Dell Inspiron 8500. It's a little heavy, but it also plays my favorite Bob the Builder DVDs. Photography. During my baby blog days, I used a Leica Digilux 4.3, which took terrific outdoor pictures but left something to be desired in low light. When I graduated to my Adventures blog, I upgraded to a Canon 10D digital SLR with a 50 mm 1.4 lens for indoors and a 24-70 mm 2.8 lens for outdoors. I also use a UV and polarizing filter, since I live in the tropics. Photo editing. Dreamweaver comes bundled with a really easy-to-use application called Fireworks. But I also have the latest version of Adobe Photoshop. I use Canon software to download RAW images from my camera, although the XP operating system's image importing software is easier to use if I'm working in JPEGs.
