May 2005 May
23, 2005 Blow out the candles I am officially three years old today! Funny but I don't feel that different. Maybe things will change more tomorrow. (Aren blows out the candles.)
Mom, you're embarrassing me Yep, it's my big day and Mommy has to ruin it by showing up at school with all these cookies and hats. She even tried to force me to wear the head band. I think it looks better on her. (Mommy with Aren at his Blues Clues birthday party.) May
22, 2005 You can let go now, lady I had a really great time with the mice on my birthday cruise. Minnie and Mickey were always waving or blowing kisses to me. I even went to the beach with their friend Goofy. But today I have to go home. Bye-bye friends. (Aren says good-bye to Minnie Mouse.) May
21, 2005 My ice cream cone This is the best hotel ever, even if it floats on the water. Want to know why? Seven words: all-you-can-eat ice cream bar. This just happens to be my fifth ice cream cone in as many minutes. (Aren likes his ice cream cone.) May
20, 2005 Biker boys Daddy is so cool. He's a biker dude. And he took me along for a ride on Castaway Cay. Don't worry, I did get to wear a helmet. (Iden goes riding with Daddy on a bicycle.) May
19, 2005 Stitch in time I have two movies that are my current all-time favorites: Citizen Kane, directed by the extremely talented Orson Welles and La Belle et la Bκte, a film by the great French director Jean Cocteau. In addition to these two deeply moving pictures, I think Disney's Lilo and Stitch and Hercules are awesome. I got to hang out with Stitch on the Disney Wonder. (Aren hangs ten with Stitch.) May
18, 2005 Wiggle worm I've got a new trick up my sleve. I can arch my back and wiggle my hips. That means I can actually move on my own! Unfortunately I can't really control where I go. For example, I am now in danger of falling out of the stroller. (Iden wiggles in his stroller.) May
16, 2005 Deep thoughts At times like this I like to ponder the universe and ask the ultimate question - who's gonna change my diaper? (Iden thinks.) May
14, 2005 All tucked in Mommy and Daddy are trying to get me to sleep the whole night through - in my own bed. I'm not sure I'm ready for such a big boy adventure. I mean I only turned four-months-old this week. (Iden tucked into bed.) May
12, 2005 My Khayla This is my spying tree. I come here because it is a good spot to look down the street toward Khayla's house. That way I know when she's outside and ready to play. (Aren at his favorite spying spot.) May
10, 2005 Can I help fold? I'm not sure if you can make out the large mound of unfolded clean clothes beside me on the big bed. It will probably take Mommy years to fold such an enormous pile. I bet I could help her by grabbing some things and throwing them onto the floor! (Iden tries to help fold the laundry.) May
8, 2005 Dapper Dan Don't I look cool in my new suit? Mommy says I can't wear the Hawaiian shirt for Kaia's wedding. It wouldn't match my tie. (Aren looking debonair in his new suit jacket.) May
6, 2005 We love Mommy My class had a big party to celebrate Mother's Day. I'm afraid my mom thought that meant we had to celebrate all weekend. Aren't flowers and chocolates enough? (Aren, Iden and Mommy enjoy Mother's Day Tea at Lutheran Haven) May
4, 2005 Smile safari Today Mommy and I went on a smile safari. That's where you go to the store and count how many people smile when they see you. Today was a record, 13 smilers. Must have been the hat. (Iden in his safari clothes.) May
2, 2005 Retired and living in Florida Can't you just picture me at 70? (Iden lounges at home.) <<--
