Week 6

July 3, 2002

Ready whenever you are. I've been trying to explain the concept of "feed on demand" to my parents, and they're slowly learning. It helps that my screams are getting louder and louder as I get bigger and bigger. How can anyone resist my vocalizing?

July 2, 2002

Bye-bye. Grandma and grandpa left today. I'm sad because I don't have anyone to play with anymore. At least no one fun. Maybe Max wants to hang out for a while. Here kitty, kitty.

A Mohawk! Grandma thought I'd look better if I had more hair down the middle, like I'm some kinda punk. Not that it matters. It's all going to fall out soon, anyway. Maybe that's why I look so happy.

You lookin' at me? Mommy and Daddy left this afternoon to go see a movie. I stayed here with Grandma and Grandpa. It's always a good idea to keep an eye open when your parents are away. Or so they say.

June 29, 2002

A big day on Biscayne Bay. Went to Biscayne National Park today and watched the fish playing in the water. It was lots of fun, except there were too many mosquitos. So we ducked into the visitors center and checked out the exhibits.

How's this, Great-grandpa? By special request I've allowed myself to be photographed with Grandma. Usually we play together. Grandma taught me how to smile without looking too silly. Whaddya think, Great-grandma and Great-grandpa Carmody?

I think he likes me. Grandpa let me use him for a pillow while I took a nap this afternoon. It's so hard to train adults to hold still while you sleep, but he's a quick study. He can stay. Aunt Aimee went back to Wisconsin (sniff, sniff) so now it's back to getting my bath from Daddy. Oh well, I guess you can't win 'em all.
