Playing around in Salt Lake City
We had a five-hour layover in Utah on our way to Sun Valley today. Good thing there was a playground at the airport, where I could unwind after a long day in the air.
Center of attention
I celebrated my nine-month birthday with Mommy, Aunt Kaia and Uncle Harold in Suffern, NY. I even sat still long enough for this picture to be taken. Which is a big achievement, considering I’m a bundle of energy.
It’s good to be home
I sure missed Daddy. He’s the best. Who else would let me climb all over him - like I am right now. Oh, yeah, he’s under here somewhere. But I told Mommy to crop the old man out of the picture. There can only be one star of this blog.
Five flights of fancy
The flight is smooth. The service is professional. Your fellow passengers are well-mannered, articulate and interesting.
No, you haven’t traveled back in time to board one of the great pre-deregulation carriers such as the old Pan Am or TWA. You’re probably on one of America’s five best flights.
How can I find five “best” flights to feature [...]
Hanging out with Great-Grandpa
Mommy and I ditched Daddy and flew up to New York to visit the family. They were glad to see me but they hardly recognized me because I’m such a big boy now. Great-Grandpa couldn’t believe that I can stand and crawl really fast.
It’s a snow day!
Wow, I’ve never seen so much snow in my whole life - all eight months of it. Grandma and Grandpa took me outside to get a closer look. Now I have to learn how to walk. Once I can take a few steps, I can also learn how to ski.
Ramada reneges on room rate
Q: I made a reservation on the Ramada corporate Web site for what I believed was an unbelievable promotional rate at the Hollywood Beach, Fla., Ramada. I tried it from two different computers, on two different days before booking my room, because I thought it was too good to be true. But the room was [...]
I can talk!
I said my first word today. I pointed at Max and said “cat.” Later, I also said “Dada,” which is one of my favorite artistic movements. Speaking of movements … you’ll have to excuse me, but I’m not potty-trained yet.
They’ll never miss this grocery list
Babies are supposed to destroy everything in their path, so why should I be any different? This piece of paper, carelessly left on the living-room floor by an adult, is history. Just doin’ my job.
What’s that?
I don’t know what Daddy’s looking at, but I can see Mommy. Hey, over here! It’s getting hot in the sun and I’m just about ready for a glass of milk and a cookie.
War? We’re traveling anyway
Frequent travelers aren’t letting the latest war worries ground them. Most road warriors - a term that is so very appropriate, given the present circumstances - will stay on course because most business trips aren’t optional.
The Air Transport Association predicts that if war breaks out, international air traffic will fall by at least 10%. However, [...]
What in the world is that?
I’ve been to the Miami Metrozoo three whole times, and I still don’t remember what these are called. If you know, please send me an e-mail.
I’m a star, babe
CNN filmed us in Coconut Grove today. They wanted to see how Daddy and Mommy handle traveling with me. Actually, it’s more a question of how I handle them. Too bad I can’t talk yet.
A mandatory ticket fee
Q: I recently had a less than great experience with Orbitz. I purchased three tickets to Hawaii on Northwest Airlines through the site. But while the order was being processing, a notice popped up that these tickets had to be issued as paper tickets and as result would necessitate a $20 delivery fee via either [...]
Meet Mr. Rabbit.
This is my new best friend at the library now that Miss Jean is leaving. I’m not very happy that she’s going away, but I guess she has to go North with her husband. I’m sure gonna miss her.
